  1. Dear friends, I´ve always had a simple question about the shadows from the trees. Is there absolute opacity (even on the branches)? Or you guys define a default thin object transparency factor... Thanx in advance, my best regards Jose
  2. Thanx André for the quick answer!. I will take it into account meanwhile and wait for the newer 6.43 BR Jose
  3. Hello PVsyst friends, I ve detected a Bug in the program. Every time you enter to Detail Losses inside Grid Connected Project Design, either when (1) you change any parameter and then you go to "degradation" label, or (2) without changing anything you scrool the window to left and then click "degradation", the program cracks and force you to close PVsyst or restart. Is it me? (I ve just bought the full version 6.42) or there exist effectively this bug? Thanks, BR Jose
  4. Dear friends, I ve just acquired your software. A month ago I was testing your program and I found that when i set the colour of the modules in the shading scene definition no matter what colour i set the module stood with a permanent soft blue, i thought i was due to the trial mode settings. But now that i acquired the program this bug persists. Thanx in advance Best regards Jose
  5. Hello, I m about to upgrade my older version to the current 6.39. So far I am introducing hourly values of these 3 meteo variables: Irradiance global, irradiance difusse, temperature. The fact is that when i simulate the project, in order to compute an accurate temperature loss result, i have a tool (based on experience) to set conductivity numbers depending on each case. Now, if I am not wrong, the model computes wind speed!. We expect, for instance, fewer losses when the climate is very windy am i right? but i go further...now if the model computes that, how can i make use of the conductivity number, when the modules are free, roof mounted (with more or less backsheet air conduction etc)? Any help would be very useful Thanks Best Regards
  6. I mean that, in my opinion, it is a good practice to undersize inverter power (to a moderate extend), bcs as time goes by, the PV power diminishes bcs of natural degradation and the efficiency of an inverter is higher when it is fully charged. I have conducted several studies for 25-35 years and the initial loss (excess) is leveled by the 6th-7th year...next years yield is relatively positive. Sometimes local regulations dont help too much to my idea, as inverter has to apply a limit (exactly to nominal values) --> Potential production over that limit is loss. But some inverters, as you know, allow a margin of kW over nominal values (depending on temperature of operation). In version 5 you cannot apply this extra yield but i am not sure if in the newer this is possible. Thanks in advance, BR Jose.
  7. Dear André, In the newer version i am not able to find the data path in my hard disk, unless i create or modify a file (eg .pan). Does it exist? Thanks in advance BR
  8. Hello, I have a problem with some inverters that can oversize their maximum output (5%-10%), as in the simulation all the potential production that exceeds nominal values the system consider it as a loss. I am using 5.55 version. Is is corrected in the newer versions? Thanx BR Jose (tecnun)
  9. We are considering upgrading 6th version. For us it is important this issue: We are ABB distributors and almost every inverter can supply more power than the nominal value. In our country it is not restricted. So, when we simulate, there are more losses considered regarding the moments when the potential generation exceeds nominal values. Is there in the newer versions a way to set a value over nominal for this extra generation (when you characterize inverter parameters)? In 5th version this parameter (maximum power) is only informative, it does not take it into account on simulations. Thanks in advance Jose
