NFI Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Hello, I would like to ask you about the password issue for the PDF files generated by PVsyst. After selecting "Print" for the simulation results in PVsyst and then clicking "Save document as PDF", when editing this PDF file with other software (such as InDesign), the file requires a password to continue. Screenshots are attached for your reference. May I ask what password should be entered? Please kindly assist and guide us on this matter. Thank you very much!
Linda Thoren Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Dear NFI, Indeed, in earlier version the report was protected so that it cannot be manipulated. To use certain graphs, you can instead click "Export" and "copy to clipboard" Kind regards
NFI Posted February 4 Author Posted February 4 Hello Linda, Thank you for your prompt response. Sorry for the inconvenience. Regarding your mention of "in earlier version the report was protected so that it cannot be manipulated," could you please specify which version or earlier versions would require a password to edit the PDF file? What password should be entered to continue editing the PDF file generated by PVsyst? Would updating PVsyst to the latest version, such as Version 8.0.6, resolve this issue? Because we want to edit the entire content of the PDF file, we kindly ask for your guidance on how to proceed. Thank you very much!
Linda Thoren Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Hi, A report generated in 8.0.6 can be opened in an editor such as inDesign without a password. Kind regards
