Rosana Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Dear all, We need to make simulation with battery system and set the system kind - storage strategy on self-consumption, and my question is, why is there no possibility to determine the time when to charge and discharge the batteries? For example i want to set the time for charging battery from 10 AM to 13 PM, and discharging time from 20 PM to 3 AM.
Linda Thoren Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Dear Rosana, Indeed, by using the Self consumption strategy, the batteries will charge when excess solar power is available and discharge as soon as the user needs power. It is not possible to define specific hours for charging/discharging. Kind regards
Rosana Posted May 21 Author Posted May 21 Could you please upgrade your software with these features? Our needs for which we pay for the software are those. Thank you in advance!
Linda Thoren Posted May 21 Posted May 21 Thank you for your suggestion. This might be developed in a future version, though it is not yet on our roadmap and will not be available any time soon. In our experience, this strategy corresponds well to what users expect from a battery storage solution for increased self-consumption, to charge when excess solar power is available during the day, and discharge as soon as the user needs power - which normally is during the night. Kind regards
Rosana Posted May 22 Author Posted May 22 Yes, but it charging the batteries when the price of electricity is very high, early in the morning. Our goal is to make the system more efficient and following the price of the electricity on the stock we need the batteries to be charged in the time interval when the price of electricity is low (eg. 11am to 14pm). Don't you think that the system will be more profitable? Best regards!
