julmou
Hello, I was wondering how you can tell an inverter with unbalanced MPPT from one that doesn't, based on the datasheet. I am creating new Inverter Definitions with some of the newest SMA Sunny Boy and Tripower, in the 3.0-4.0 kW range, that aren't in the PVsyst database. And I just don't know if these newer versions of Sunny Boy, or these low-power versions of Tripower, have the unbalanced MPPT option (which would be useful in my case). I tried to compare with datasheet of higher-powered Tripower but couldn't make out any info/data that would tell if it accepts unbalanced MPPT or not. How can you tell? Thanks so much in advance. Michele Oliosi
Hi, usually you would expect a mention in the datasheet looking like the one below with two MPPT input configurations (here A and B). In the example A corresponds to the one accepting more power (4 strings) and B is the lower power one for just 1 string.
