I have two questions regarding the Advanced Simulation Tool in PVSyst: Table Rotation Method: Question: How does PVSyst handle the rotation of tables within the Advanced Simulation Tool? Specifically, does it rotate each table individually, or does it rotate all tables collectively using the system's center of mass? Azimuth Simulation Range: Question: When I set the simulation range for azimuth (e.g., from -20° to +20°), does PVSyst take into account the azimuth specified in the orientation settings? For instance, if the azimuth of the tables is set to 16°, will PVSyst simulate azimuth angles ranging from -4° to +36°? Context: I'm currently conducting optimization tests and have been observing some unexpected results. Understanding these aspects of the simulation tool is crucial for accurately interpreting my findings. If they are defined as individual tables, they will be turned each around their own center. Each “array of tables” will be turned as one object with a common center to the whole array. 2) No, the azimuth is overridden. In general, when you have such questions on “what does PVsyst do in the optimization tool / batch mode” the best way to check is to use the batch mode. In the batch mode, you can modify the same parameters as in the optimization tool, and more. It has one interesting additional option, which is to store a variant corresponding to the batch modification: This allows to check whether the modifications make sense, afterward.
