FUJITA_ANE Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 Hello, I compared near shadings value on Loss diagram in version 7 and 8 under the same variant. ver7.4.8 => -0.41% ver8.0.2 => -1.01% The following shading diagrams(ver7/8) shows the difference during the morning and evening hours. Is this a specification due to the update? or a bug? Thank you.
Michele Oliosi Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 There has been a very small improvement to the way the shadings are interpolated at low sun heights and close to the “behind the plane” thresholds. However, the change seems rather large in your case. We would gladly take a detailed look at it, if you can send us your project over at support@pvsyst.com if possible. Thank you !
FUJITA_ANE Posted November 28, 2024 Author Posted November 28, 2024 Hello Michele, Thank you for your reply. I sent the project file to support@pvsyst.com. Please check it and let me know if you need other information.
c.katharotiya Posted Thursday at 01:05 PM Posted Thursday at 01:05 PM Hello, Is there any update that what is the reason behind getting different result value in version 7 and 8?
Michele Oliosi Posted Friday at 08:16 AM Posted Friday at 08:16 AM Yes. A bug was corrected in update 8.0.5, that afflicted cases where an averaged orientation had a large orientation spread. In these cases, the shading factors were pessimistic for low sun heights. Now things should work properly.
FUJITA_ANE Posted yesterday at 01:59 AM Author Posted yesterday at 01:59 AM I checked that the shading factor was corrected in version 8.0.5. Thank you for your support.
