Hi,
I appreciate your kind assistance with the following... Today, November 7, the update to version 8 was performed, but I am unable to run project simulations that I was able to simulate without issues in previous versions. As indicated, the following message appears: (177 fields in error, the first one being: Fiedl ##708, "Table Row#30 Col#8": The angle between the field and the average orientation (10.3°) is too high).

I am trying to adjust or correct through the orientation manager, but it does not allow deletion actions, only creating new orientations. I am unable to make adjustments to the existing fields.

I reiterate that in previous versions, for example 7.4.8, I had no issues and it allowed me to simulate the projects I have created.

Thank you very much for your valuable attention and for your prompt and timely response.image.png.f2af1a3fab81f777d350194a202a7729.png

Hello,

This error appears because the angle between your average orientation and at least one of your PV table is too high compared to the settings of your projects.

To fix this error you need to increase this tolerance. From the main window of your project, click on "Project settings" at the top of the screen:

Then you need to select the "Other limitations" tab and increase the value of the "Maximum orientation difference for defining average (spread) orientation" parameter:

Once the value has been increased the error should disappear.

Thank you very much for such valuable help. I have made the suggested adjustments, and now it allows the simulation to run. Given this, I am left wondering if these forced adjustments to enable the simulation significantly impact the energy generation results compared to the field measurements?

You are welcome, I am glad I could help. Changing the limits regarding the error messages never changes the results. Those messages are here to highlight the differences that might exist between the model, the system and the reality. It is difficult to evaluate the impact of those differences because they depend on the specifics of each project. The threshold of some messages have been changed between PVsyst V7 and V8 but the models have not changed.

Stéphane, Thank you very much for your help and advice. Have a good day
