kjs55 Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 PVsyst v7.4.2: I'm generally curious why the units of energy are listed as kW in the PVsyst 8760 CSV output file rather than kWh. The below link [1] lists it as kWh. It seems the units of apparent and reactive power are listed as kVAh. However, a client wrote to me and asked if the units of EReGrid ought to be kVARh rather than kVAh. Please advise. Thanks. [1] https://www.pvsyst.com/help/index.html?power_factor.htm
Luca Antognini Posted Friday at 09:43 AM Posted Friday at 09:43 AM Hi! The variable in the hourly energy variables are sometimes displayed with units "kW" instead of "kWh". This is indeed a bit confusing but for time step of one hour this is equivalent. The case of the apparent and reactive energy units should be unified with the rest in the future. In particular the reactive energy should be displayed by convention in kVARh instead of kVAh (even though they are all pseudo-units, equivalent to kW in the end).
