Michalis Angeli Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 I would like to add this pv module to database. I want to ask if i should define the global degradation factor on Pmpp an degradation sharing of Imp as you can see on the picture, below.
Michele Oliosi Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 No, as stated in orange, this is not necessary unless you are doing a very specific aging study and need a degraded module.
Michalis Angeli Posted August 27, 2023 Author Posted August 27, 2023 sorry, but i want to ask something else about this topic. On my pv panel's datasheet there is the below table. So the global degradation factor on Pmpp is equal to Temperature Coefficents on Pmax ??
Michele Oliosi Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 This is coincidental, the two are not related.
Michalis Angeli Posted August 28, 2023 Author Posted August 28, 2023 Okay. If datasheet doesn't presents that value (Global degradation factor on Pmpp). Is there any default value wich i can to use ?? In order to taking in account and this parameter in my simulation? Thank you
Michele Oliosi Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 Usually the default value is what is pre entered in PVsyst when you open the window. In this case, it would be 0.4%/year. You can also check the help for more details.
Michalis Angeli Posted September 14, 2023 Author Posted September 14, 2023 Hello again, I want to ask something else. In this period i am simulating a forecast production for 20 years. Should i define the global degradation factor on Pmpp equal to 0.4% / year ? I am asking because i think that value is important for a forecast analysis? Thank you!
Michele Oliosi Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Yes of course, if you are estimating the production for several years, you should implement a degradation rate. 0.4%/year is the standard value in PVsyst and shown to be a typical value by various studies.
