Abid Ali Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 Hello, Are am working on a research project to get a constant current from a PV module through adjusting tilt. Can I do it using PVsyst to get the expected hourly tilt values (for example for one day for for a specific location) before designing a experimental setup? Thanks
dtarin Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 Run yearly simulations at every tilt angle, analyze the 8760 at each hour to determine tilt associated with desired current.
Abid Ali Posted August 18, 2023 Author Posted August 18, 2023 Thanks. Which option I should use to get yearly simulation? Can I do this without using a load? Just through selecting a PV modules and a location?
dtarin Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 Grid connected PV system. After entering in your system and losses, under advanced simulation, you can run batch mode to run multiple simulations and specify the tilt angle to use. Output the results to excel file (.csv).
Abid Ali Posted August 18, 2023 Author Posted August 18, 2023 Great, many thanks. I highly appreciate you for the swift response and help
Abid Ali Posted August 18, 2023 Author Posted August 18, 2023 (edited) I need to investigate hourly PV module output current and voltage for different tilt. For example when I run batch simulation using tilt= 0 to 65 degrees, PV output current is summed in AH for each tilt case. How to get time series hourly PV ouput for each tilt separately? i.e average current in A instead of summed in Ah Edited August 18, 2023 by Abid Ali
Abid Ali Posted August 18, 2023 Author Posted August 18, 2023 I got my answer through following this. Thanks
dtarin Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 Go to advanced sim > output file, select to create a file, select the variables you wish to include. Then, go to batch sim, set up your items there, and confirm the output variables there in the last tab.
