Sub Hourly Data

I have sub hourly weather file with time step of 30 minutes.

When I import this data to PVsyst the GHI hourly data is taken as the sum of each 30 min GHI data. Is this the correct interpretation?

To my understanding the hourly data should be the average of the 30 min data points.

Now when I import this data to PVsyst the monthly GHI in KWHr is taken as the sum of all the 30 min data for the given month. Should it not be the sum of all the 30 min data divided by 2 (as each of the GHI is for 30 min time interval).

Pls correct my understanding here.

In the importing format protocol, page "meteo variables", you have a choice:

- Irradiance given in Power [W/m2]

- Irradiance given in Energy [Wh/m2]

The average is used when defining the irradiances in Power.
