jromme
How are clipping losses calculated in PVsyst? Let's say the nominal and maximum power in your OND file is 3125kW. At a particular hour, the power available at the output of the inverter = 3115 kW and the clipping loss = 9.25 kW. The sum of these equals 3124.25 which is less than the nominal power of the inverter. Why is this specific hour being clipped by PVsyst? Thanks. jromme
It's a 1500V central inverter.
dtarin
Without knowing the model and seeing the data it could be temperature derating if it's like a PE 1500V. If greater than 25C your nameplate changes.
jromme
That is a really good point and most likely the issue. Thanks for the input!
anil875052
That is a really good point and most likely the issue. Thanks for the input! Hello Sir,I also have interest to Know either "Inverter Loss over nominal inverter power" and "Clipping loss" are same or different. If both are same or different ,Please clarify both. Thanks and RegardsAnil
