Realistic looking solar panels

I use the near shading tool to make layouts on top of imported Google maps to show customers/clients what the proposed PV system would look like. Is there any way to make the PV planes looks realistic and more like real solar panels i.e. instead of only being a single color, is it possible to display simple patterns on the PV planes?

Hello Thomas,

It is currently not possible to apply textures to the PV panels.

But this is something we will consider. In the future we would like to split to realistic view into two rendering modes : one to help building the scene and one to render it to look as good as possible.

So rendering realistic textures on fields would be available in the second mode.
