  1. I had the orientation at -9 degrees azimuth and going into the Bifacial system > Unlimited Tracker 2D model> Axis Azimuth can't go -9 degrees.
  2. We are seeing a lot of Bi-Facial module manufactures/products due to the cost and production gain. With that being said, how is PVsyst taking the electrical characteristic (isc and imp) into consideration since there is a percent gain due to the backside of the modules? See LG cutsheet for example http://www.lg.com/global/business/download/resources/solar/NeON%202%20BiFacial%2072cells.pdf
  3. Hello I found the solution. My colleague told me to change this option under Preference->Internationalization-> export decimal character->dot. This fixed the 8760 issue.
  4. PVsyst keep changing the rounding number every time I run simulation with no change on any parameters.
  5. Hello I am having trouble with the 8760 Export. In figure 1 that is the setting for the "output file". In figure 2, after the simulation I opened the CSV and without editing the file, all of the data are distributed in different column... Figure 1 Figure 2
  6. Hello, I was reading the "How are managed the new "twin modules" with half-cells ?" http://forum.pvsyst.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=2932&p=7534#p7534. See the following attachments #1 and #2. Is it accurate for me to run a shading analysis on the "twin modules" with "According to Module Strings"? 1- I set up a single axis (N-S Axis) with no backtracking with each row = 1 x 87 modules (equal strings of 29) (see attachment #1) 2- I set up the Partition in Module Chains: Number of strings In width= 2 (Dotted line going from North to south) in height=3 (dotted line going from East to west) (see attachment #1) 3- Run the shade model. The fact that I am dividing each row in half, would that have the same effect as if it was the "twin module"? (see attachment #2)
  7. My firm just finished constructed a 17.5 MWP plant a few months ago and we are in the process of analyzing the measured vs PVsyst estimated production data. Our Scada is giving us the Plane of Array Irradiance (POA) in w/m^2. Which of these PVsyst data is equivalent to the measured POA Irradiance? The "Global Incident in Coll. Plane" or the "Effective Global, Corr. for IAM and Shading"
  8. I do a lot of 3D modeling especially with inter row spacing layout. If there is an option to pick Imperial vs Metric unit, that would be very helpful.
  9. I am running a PVsyst version 6.52 production on a Single Axis (N-S Axis) system. I know that I am supposed to run the production with the "3D Shading Scene" when using backtracking option. However I found out that I can run it with the selected "Pitch" value and backtracking option without a near shading scene (see attach). The production that I simulate without the 3D shading scene, what is PVsyst exactly taking into consideration (no shading, no backtracking, etc)?
  10. When I am developing a Near Shadings model for a single axis tracker, what is a "Tracker Frame"? Is that just the frame of the tracker or the frame of the modules? We are using nextracker single axis tracker (see link below) and the product doesn't seem to have a frame... Would it be safe to set the Tracker Frame to zero meter? https://www.nextracker.com/product-services/nx-horizon/
  11. I am currently doing a production model using a panelClaw 10 degree ballasted racking system. I am struggling with this for a while over what is considered "Free" mounted modules vs semi-integrated with air duct? Between those two options, my production change dramatically since I live in Las Vegas (hot summer) Please advise. 12. I figured out the issue. I believed that it was the old version of my PVsyst. I updated it to V6.39 and the problem was solved.
  13. I have a question. I am running a simulation using a Solectria Central Gride Tie Inverter SGI 500-480V using Canadian Solar 315. Mix Orientation of East and West. 148 Strings of 12 modules 91 strings facing East 57 Strings Facing West Losses: Osmic Losses 2.0% Module Quality: -0.4% Mismatch losses: Power Loss at MPP 1% Soiling Loss: 0.5% After the simulation, my osmic wiring losses is ridiculously high -81.9% (see attachments) Please advise & thank you. Report 2 Report 1 Inputs
  14. I am doing an analysis on a CNPV 295 solar modules with a SMA sunny central 800CP-US inverter. I have encounter a problem where the program recommend using 18 and 19 module in series, but I have contacted SMA and they said 20 modules/string is possible in my location. With that being said I set the 20 modules in series and 136 strings using the same inverter previously stated and I cannot do the simulation. It gave me this error "The array VoC at -10 C is greater than the inverter absolute max input voltage." Is there anyway for me to bypass that and force the simulation for me to see the result??
