  1. In my opinion, the optimal angle depends upon the location on earth. So, panel at higher latitudes would have a differnt optimal angle than the one at equator. The best way is to put in the most accurate weather data available and iterate for different values of tilt angle to find out the optimal at the istallation location.
  2. Hi guys Anyone has an idea of how to simualte partial clouds in our shading scenario? I tried to use "Pseudo-circle-sector" but I have to keep its height along z-axis very low (few tens of meters) to get some impact on the output of the array. Obviously, this is not the case in real world. Any idea of any work around because in my scenario, there are open fields and the only significant partial shading source are the cloud pieces scatterd in the sky. Thanks a lot for your help. Best Regards Hafiz
  3. Hello dear forum members, I have mesured data for one day with a time step of 10 minutes. I am trying to generate the Meteo file from this data using "Import ASCII meteo file" in "Tools". I have already defined site parameters and the format protocol file. The conversion is successful but with a warning message: Can this be because of the reason that measured data is only for one day?? The generated file is XYZ.MET that is stored in the PVsyst directory structure that is copied to D: drive. When I try to add this meteo file using , as soon as this dialog box opens, the XYZ.MET is automatically deleted from directory. Every time, I try to open the dialog box of , the meteo file is deleted and I have to create it again and again. Could someone please suggest some solution for this? Best Regards
