  1. I've computed losses attributed to variable terrain and now I need to incorporate them into the DC side. How do I include miscellaneous losses in PVsyst? Thank you.
  2. Hi, I need to run simulations with bifaciality turned off. However, selecting the specified module automatically turns it on. Is there a way to turn it off? Thanks.
  3. Is there a simple way to set or determine the distance between trackers (Tracking, horizontal axis N/S)?
  4. I need to determine the total length of a tracker. In order to do i so I'm attempting to determine the spacing between modules on a tracker. Although the tracker settings display a module spacing of 0.02, there seems to be a discrepancy when I zoom in and use the measuring tool, as it shows a measurement of 0.05. How could this be? Thank you,
  5. I'm relatively new to PVsyst and am seeking guidance on simulating trackers positioned on a hill with varying slopes. Specifically, I'd like to know how to customize the North/South tilt for each individual tracker. Here's the desired configuration: Tracker 1: 0° Tracker 2: 1° Tracker 3: 2° Tracker 4: 3° Tracker 5: 4° Tracker 6: 5° I appreciate any assistance or advice you can provide. Thank you!
  6. What methods can I use to simulate a flexible terrain tracker in PV systems?
  7. I want to construct a site that incorporates both fixed and tracking solar panel arrays. How can I achieve this configuration within PVsyst? Thank you!
  8. Why does the module layout tool show multiple rows? The system is 1 string of 20 modules in series. Col#5 is 3 sections at 0 degrees. Col#4 is 3 sections at 1 degree. Col#3 is 3 sections at 2 degrees. Col#2 is 3 sections at 3 degrees. Row#2 Col#1 is 3 sections at 4 degrees. Row#1 Col#1 is 5 sections at 5 degrees. Thank you, Vera
  9. How do I use this in the simulation? every time I exit out of the module layout tool it resets and the calculated specific production hasn't changed after the the modules are defined.
  10. Thank you for your response. Upon employing the module layout tool to specify the 3D scene modules, I'm observing no variation in the simulation results for the specified production. This seems illogical because the lowest production should control the current and constrain the specified production.

    MV line voltage

Could you clarify whether, in the "Detailed Losses" section under "Ohmic losses" within the "Medium Voltage line (each tranfo)" subsection in PVsyst, when it requests the MV line voltage, it's inquiring about the primary or secondary line voltage? Thank you!
  12. I've adjusted the albedo setting to .1, but the report continues to display fluctuating monthly albedo values. It seems I might be missing something. Shouldn't the .1 setting reflect in these values? If that's the case, what steps can I take to ensure this representation? Appreciate your assistance, Vera
  13. I'm currently conducting different scenarios to assess module mismatch losses and their impact on specific production when trackers are positioned on a hill. The outcomes of these simulations are provided below. How can I connect trackers in series within the shade scene? In theory, the section with the lowest production should regulate the current and constrain overall production. Fixed Tilted Plane Specific Production (kWh/kWp/yr): All Panels Horizontal: 1804 All panels at 5° to north: 1721 Panels curving toward the north: 1764 Tilted Tacker Specific Production (kWh/kWp/yr): All Panels Horizontal: 2521 All panels at 5° to north: 2465 Panels curving toward the north: 2515 Thank you!
  14. I'm new to PVsyst and trying to set up a shading scene where 20 panels in a single string curve slightly towards the north. I want to tilt segments of 3-5 panels incrementally by 0 to 5 degrees. I tried using subarrays, but it increased the number of inverters, and I need to stick to just one. Any advice on achieving this without adding extra inverters? Thanks!
  15. I am very new to PVsyst so I apologize if the question is due to my lack of understanding. A customer has asked me to Run PVsyst with the following modules: PV: Imperial Star 665W Inverter: 125kW 684-1450VSunny Highpower SHP 125-US-20-Peak3 I was then asked to run PVSyst with 17, 18, 19 & 20 string variations, but the range given by PVsyst is 21-29 strings. At 19 and 20 strings I can run the simulation with an orange warning but with 17 and 18 strings I am given a red warning that the array Vmpp is far lower than the inverter minimum operating voltage. Does this mean that I should report to the customer that it's not possible to have less than 19 strings, or is there some variable I am missing here that would allow the lower strings? Thank you, Vera
