I calculated the monthly albedo for the site and imputed the data into the into the project settings. The report is showing the monthly albedo here: However the inputted albedo settings did not seem to apply to the simulation calculations, the average yearly albedo should be .21 but the report is showing a ground albedo of .3 in this section here: and .3 here as well here: No change to the calculations was made after inputting the monthly albedo. How can I get the proper albedo to apply? Thank you, Vera

Is there anyways I can add a tracking array to simulate a Smart Flower to a mostly fixed system?

Hello, I need to recommend a string size to a client based on a JA SOLAR JAM72D42 620W module and a SMA Sunny Central 4000 inverter. The module is not included in the database and I have been unable to obtain a PAN file. How does PVsyst determine the string size? Thank you, Vera

Thank you, This must have changed with the new version as it used to be red when turned off. Very confusing to go from that to light and dark green! Best,

Our client has specified the following design conditions with 30 modules in series. PVsyst will not allow me to execute the simulations do to it determining that the array Voc at -10 degrees is greater than the inverter absolute maximum input voltage. However my calculations show that this system should be feasible and the clients engineering team determined it to be feasible as well. Here are my calculations: Standard Voc= 45.9V Voc at -10°c≈ 46.29 V String Voltage=30 (mod. in series) ×46.29 V = 1,388.7V Max PV input voltage of the inverter=1500 V Since the string voltage (1,388.7 V) is lower than the inverter's maximum input voltage (1500 V), the system should not encounter overvoltage issues at -10°C with the specified number of modules in series. Why is Pvsyst giving me this error message and what does it use to make this determination? I assumed it maybe due to weather data but the values did not change when I used weather data from a much hotter climate to verify if that was the factor causing this issue. Thank you!

I've computed losses attributed to variable terrain and now I need to incorporate them into the DC side. How do I include miscellaneous losses in PVsyst? Thank you.

Hi, I need to run simulations with bifaciality turned off. However, selecting the specified module automatically turns it on. Is there a way to turn it off? Thanks.

Is there a simple way to set or determine the distance between trackers (Tracking, horizontal axis N/S)?

I need to determine the total length of a tracker. In order to do i so I'm attempting to determine the spacing between modules on a tracker. Although the tracker settings display a module spacing of 0.02, there seems to be a discrepancy when I zoom in and use the measuring tool, as it shows a measurement of 0.05. How could this be? Thank you,

I'm relatively new to PVsyst and am seeking guidance on simulating trackers positioned on a hill with varying slopes. Specifically, I'd like to know how to customize the North/South tilt for each individual tracker. Here's the desired configuration: Tracker 1: 0° Tracker 2: 1° Tracker 3: 2° Tracker 4: 3° Tracker 5: 4° Tracker 6: 5° I appreciate any assistance or advice you can provide. Thank you!

I want to construct a site that incorporates both fixed and tracking solar panel arrays. How can I achieve this configuration within PVsyst? Thank you!
