    Tracker spacing

Thank you! I used the near shading tool in PVsyst for the shading analysis. In the orientation part, Unlimited trackers, horiz, axis which you can see in the attached picture. In addition, could you kindly explain the difference between (Unlimited trackers, horiz, axis) and (Tracking horizontal axis N-S) in the picture.

    Tracker spacing

Hello, I am using an unlimited single-axis tracking system for a 100 MW utility-scale PV system. To determine the inter-row spacing, I currently analyze shading 10% of the whole area using that shading animation tool in PVsyst for December 21 (Winter Solstice). The GCR is 36.5% and the tracker spacing is 6.6 m. If I were to conduct a comprehensive shading analysis for the entire 100 MW system, would the results differ?
  3. Thank you! Actually, I wanted a scenario that the PV system charges the batteries first and then if we have extra power, we can feed the grid. For example, I have 2-MW solar system and 10-MW BESS. I need to first charge the BESS completely.
  4. I know, I am using 2% here is US. Is that a good number or I should use more than 2%?
  5. What are the availability assumptions in the PVsyst model for planned and forced maintenance outages? Is it 100% availability?
  6. What steps can we take to ensure that our system prioritizes charging the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) before supplying excess power to the grid? I'm particularly interested in achieving a scenario where the power supplied to the Electrical Grid (E_Grid) approaches zero, while the majority of the kilowatt-hours (kWh) are stored in the Battery (E-Bat) in the following result table.
