  1. If module dimensions are scaled up or down in the PAN file, how does this affect energy? How does this differ from where we specify collector band width? Thanks.
  2. Hello - I'm seeing that my Kt hourly values are pretty high compared to the clear sky model. Is this normal? From my Ktcs values, it seems the daily points are all below 10% over the clear sky model which I saw somewhere is okay but not sure if the amount of hourly data points is worrisome. What is the reason my data is slightly higher than the cs model being used?
  3. Hello, I am wondering if PVsyst plans to incorporate the Perez Driesse transposition model into a future update and what the timing of this would be? Does this new model change the release of PVsyst's sub hourly loss feature as well? I'd assume it would make sub hourly datasets easier to incorporate. Thanks!
  4. Just wanted to bump this to see if anyone else has seen a similar difference in electrical losses, thanks.
  5. Hello, I work for a solar developer and operator. I've read some research regarding the transposition bias resulting from using the Perez model on a sub-hourly level. Given this, is using a correction through looking at the difference between hourly and sub hourly irradiance datasets that are simulated in PVsyst still an accurate approach? Or is the uncertainty resulting from using Perez on sub hourly data enough to make this approach invalid? Thanks and appreciate the work that has already been done on this!
  6. In running simulations of exactly the same parameters and shading scenes, just a different PVsyst version, the electrical losses seem to be fluctuating a lot between versions with PVsyst v7.4 being a large increase in electrical loss. What changed between PVsyst versions 7.2, 7.3 and 7.4 to make this electrical loss more representative of reality?
  7. Hello! I noticed your PVPMC poster you presented on the bias between hourly and sub hourly datasets due to the Perez decomposition of the diffuse components. In your conclusion, you state that the diffuse component should not be corrected on the hourly simulation. Does this mean that the diffuse bias needs to be corrected sub hourly (but not hourly) while the direct bias would be corrected through the hourly simulation (but not sub hourly)? Also if this bias exists, does that mean that the strategy of comparing hourly simulation results to decomposed and reconstructed one minute (or perhaps 5 or 15 min datasets) would be inaccurate due to the transposition bias from Perez and thus still under predict sub hourly clipping loss?
  8. Hello, Is Pvsyst working on any features to estimate subhourly clipping? I've read a previous research paper Pvsyst published on a method to estimate using sub hourly data sets. Is this method something you are working on incorporating into the software and do you have a general timeframe of when it would be available?
  9. Hello all, When using near shadings and importing a pvc file of a tracking layout that has topographic/elevation data built in, how does Pvsyst calculate the loss due to terrain? I would assume the elevation data would be incorporated per tracker to account for increased/decreased shading loss (since backtracking isn't calculated for every tracker pair). Are differences in tilt, other aspects also captured in the calculations? Thanks!
