"The area of the 3D fields is far larger than the area of the modules defined in the system subarrays" error

I'm unable to solve this error even though I have the same number of PV modules both in my system as well as in my 3D scene. 

Please advice.

Change this under advanced settings. I suspect there might be something else going on, but here is how to override the error.

Can you please send us your project along with the 3D scene you are using to support@pvsyst.com so we can better understand the issue?

 

I suspect that you are using a 3D file with a larger PV area than what you declared in the system window of the software.

I am getting the same error message when trying to run batch simulations. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Dear Johan,

From your error message, we can see that the 3D scene is larger than the declared system.

I noticed that you are changing the number of trackers in batch mode, while also modifying the number of strings in parallel.

There is a workaround to make this work:

In PVsyst, go to Settings → Edit advanced parameters.

In the search box, type “area”, then adjust the parameter as highlighted below.
