Differences between METEONORM 8 and 7.3

Why there has been a huge different in irradiation data since upgrading METEONORM from 7.3 to 8? Now the data are a lot different from the other providers and there are also big differences between adiacent sites (this thing didn't happened while using 7.3 versione).
