joeholling20 Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 Hi there, I am trying to run batch simulations to vary (1) the number of strings and (2) the pitch. I want hourly (8760) values for Egrid & Earray. The steps I am using for number of strings and pitch result in 144 different combinations. This should result in 144 files that have 8760s. My question is would this take a very long time to simulate? I am trying this now with 20 combinations, and it seems to be taking a long time (~1.5-2 hours) and sometimes ends up crashing. Does anyone have experience with this? Is 144 simulations with hourly output too much for PVsyst to handle? Thanks, -Joe
dtarin Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 Two hours is not a long run time. You can run for half a day or more if needed. I've run 300 batch runs before. Dont use the PC while it's running and use something relatively up to date.
