shading from netting - thin object tool appropriate?

Hello,

We're developing a ground-mounted project for a university and it will be around 90' from the side of a baseball/softball field. The school is putting up safety netting to prevent balls from hitting the array, but we want to try to account for shading losses resulting from this netting. Looking for any recommendations on this approach in general, but specifically I was hoping to use the thin object tool to try and approximate our situation. Essentially created a wall near the array and applied the thin object ratio based on the expected amount of string/netting area per solar cell, etc. and used for 'fraction for electrical effect'. It seems this tool was created with overhead lines in mind or otherwise shade coming from above so I'm not sure if this is an appropriate exercise. Any recommendations are much appreciated.
