reinhardt_j Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Dear all,I am a bit puzzled as to how the current of a backup generator in a standalone system (with battery storage) is determined.I understand that the generator is running at U_Batt Voltage, and running for fractions of an hour as determined by the controller operating limits, but do not see how the Backup current (or equivalently, Backup Energy) is obtained.(Is there any relation to the "Backup gen-set - Managed Effectively" option in the Controller menu?)Many thanks in advance.Best regards - J-R
André Mermoud Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 The back-up current is specified for your system, as a property (setting) of the back-up generator. It is specified in the "System" dialog, page "Genset". It is supposed to be constant at any time, when the genset is activated.
