nitinpanwar Posted July 15, 2018 Posted July 15, 2018 Hi AndrewI am trying to simulate Bi-facial modues , but having few query regarding the same 1) Is it necessary to select the unlimited shed in the Field type in the orientation tab for simulation of Bi-facial modules ?2) can we simulate the bi-facial module with fixed orientation or several orientation if we design 3D for the same ?Please refer the attached image for the same.ThanksNitin Panwar
dtarin Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 Hello Nitin, I do not believe bifacial simulation for use with 3D scenes is yet available, and must use unlimited sheds at the moment. 1) Yes. 2) NoSee: http://forum.pvsyst.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=3544&p=8825&hilit=bifacial#p8825
nitinpanwar Posted July 26, 2018 Author Posted July 26, 2018 Thanks Solar Guru for your reply.I have another query regarding the below mentioned points.Structure shading factor (default value is 5%) - 1) On what parameters basis the shading factor is taken as 5 % only ?Mismatch loss factor (default value is 10%)1) What does mismatch at back side of modules means and why this value is taken 10 % as default ?Thanks
dtarin Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 Mismatch loss factor (default value is 10%)1) What does mismatch at back side of modules means and why this value is taken 10 % as default ?Thanks This value has been updated to a default if 5% (as of v 6.7.4 I think), as it was believed to have been overestimated @ 10%.I dont have any info on the shading loss factor, so can't help you there.
André Mermoud Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 It is sometimes useful to read the Help ...See "Project design > Bifacial Systems > Bifacial systems procedure"
