Module Temperature Calculation

As I could understand from various resources, we should calculate Module Temperature in reference to NOCT values as flowing:

Tmodule = Tair + ((TNOCT – 20)/800)*Irradiation

The formula is valid only for open rack system.

Kindly suggest the authenticity of this calculation. Please provide references if applicable.

Also, could you suggest the ways to calculate the same for closed rack / flush mount systems.

PVsyst doesn't use this approach of NOCT, which is extremely confusing.
