  1. I am modeling a large tracker array with a 12.47kV interconnection voltage. When I select "From transfo to injection" and enter 12470 in the Vac parameter, the "Iron loss" parameters automatically jump to *4700% and *41788 kW. Additionally, an error message pops up. See the attached screenshot. I have tried selecting different voltages, but still get a conversion error in the Iron loss parameters. I'm running the latest version, V6.73 on Windows 10.
  2. In version 6.64, how is the cell temperature calculated and what are the variables used in the calculation? Also, what is the cell temperature variable name in the output file window used to generate the output file? I am using a TMY3 file to create the .MET and .SIT files. Thank you in advance.
  3. When attempting to update from 5.72 to 5.73, I received the error message below. How do I proceed with updating to 5.73? Thank you,
  4. Thank you for the quick reply. Also, in the lower United States, what are the typical gains in production when backtracking is used and the ground cover ratio is about 40%? Thanks again,
  5. I'm running version 5.72 and tasked with optimizing a north-south single axis tracker system. However, the results in the reports seem off and there is an bug with the tracker limit, "Phi max". As you can see in the screen clip, the min/max limits are -45 to 45. However, in the report, the maximum limit is a little off. Another odd thing is that when I return to the orientation window, the maximum phi value is 90. Also, in the lower United States, what are the typical gains in production when backtracking is used and the ground cover ratio is about 40%? Thank you,
  6. ... so I'm getting this error because the files are from version 6? Could this error be caused by any other reason? Thank you for the quick reply.
  7. I have received a group of files from a customer to generate a base case and perform an alternate design. However, when trying to access any of the imported files (prj, vco, sit, met, pan, ond) I receve a "Read error" See attached image of the screen shot of the error message. Read Error When accessing the pan file through tools, PV modules and selecting "no" in the error message window, many data points are missing. As you can see from the screen shot, I am running V5.72. Could this error result from importing files that were exported from version 6? Thanks,
  8. Andre, please confirm that in order to validate the production of an installation using onsite irradiance is to import the hourly global irradiance in the plane of the array and ambient temperature. Also I have taken a screen shot of the options to choose when importing the hourly values. Which is the difference between the two selections in the drop-down menu, "POA_GHI_Tempe. : PVsyst standard, POA, temperature" and "PVsyst_Standard_P: PVsyst standard, POA, temperature"? Thank you! Screen shot of the options available when importing hourly values.
