  1. Hi Andre,

I have been playing around with the Unlimited 2D shed model for bifacial applications. I generated some plots using the tool to try and optimize the module configuration. (plotted the tilt (0-90) at different azimuth) as shown on the attachment. The y-axis shows "fraction of global back/globinc". So is this essentially ratio of rear/front irradiance? or is it rear/total(front+rear) irradiance?

and is it the average fraction over a year? or is it for the time set on the left side of the tool?

    Thanks,

    Marcus

  2. After simulation of my Bifacial system, The report provides the parameters for the bi-facial system (as seen in "bifacialparametersreport attached file).

However these parameters do not match for Pitch, shed total width and height above ground (As shown in Bifacail parameters). Even when the "according to system" boxes are checked, the report displays different parameters than what is defined in the system.

Why is this happening? It seems to be stuck at default parameters.

  3. I want to use the Bifacial Module feature and so I manually input the specific Bifacial Module I want to use. One of the specificantions that needs to be input is the "bifaciality factor"

In this example I input a "Bifaciality factor" of .834 as shown in the attached "Example Image 1".

After selecting this module in my system parameters, I select the "Bifacial System" to further specify the bifacial parameters. As shown in "Example Image 2" under the "pv array behavior" the "module bifacilaity factor" is shown as 35.7%. This can't be changed, and I assume this is because it is a calculated number.

    But my questions are:

    1. Why are these "bifaciality factors" different?

    2. Is the "module bifaciality factor" based on the albedo? (I tried to change this, and the module bifacaility factor remained the same)

    Thank you for your time,

    Marcus Graefenhain
