  1. Hi dtarin, thanks for the input. I can make a zone in a similar shape as the polygonal field, but when defining the Zone's Field Properties, I can only do a singular rectangular array - are you suggesting that I would have a bunch of little zones where I would need to align / elevate and line up each one in order to mimic the flush to roof mount shown above? The other factor that might complicate this the client wishes to use SolarEdge for this layout - not sure if using the zones in this manner would not be advisable then - ie defining the Module Layout's strings per inverter? Thanks again for the help and insight, much appreciated!
  2. Hello Team, I am using V8.0.11 and trying to model Bifacial w/ Fixed Tilt Plane, Flush to Roof mount via Polygonal Fields - this is not compatible with bifacial 2D model - is this a bug or is there some way that I could model this irregular layout with bifacial (see snip of model)? I realize this flush to roof the bifacial factor will be very small, but the client is determined to confirm modeling this bifacial gain.. Any suggestions and thoughts are greatly appreciated, much thanks in advance! ie would converting to a Rectangular PV Array and trying to line up/match this jagged flush roof layout (as much as possible) allow the bifacial 2D model - or something else be a workaround? Thanks, Mike
  3. Hello All, In the 8760 output file, I am trying to get the a single string's max current and Voc. When looking at the 8760 output variables, the closest I see are; IArray (Array Current) and UArray (Array Voltage), but the values I am seeing are very high and seems like PVsyst is combining all strings to a combined current and voltage? I have a 32MW DC / 24MW AC system using bifacial modules, defined the system in 12 parallel blocks, where each block is identical with 8 inverters, and each inverter has 18 strings with 28 modules (see attached PVsyst's SLD snip). Can someone comment to see if this is what is happening and how I can get just a single string's max current and open circuit voltage? As a point of context, I am trying to determine the maximum string current (based on the highest 3-hour current average resulting from the simulated local irradiance) as well as, string open circuit voltage (Voc). This is to exercise 690.8(A)(1)(2) in 2017 NEC or later that allows calculating the max current opposed to the typical module Isc x 1.25 Thanks for the help in advance, much appreciated
  4. I created a new orientation, which was a weighted average of the modules within the different azimuths, and then made a new sub-array with the specific modules in a string at the new orientation. In the Near Shade Scene, I had to split up the existing arrays that encompassed the separate azimuths, removed the modules that are now a part of the new orientation, then added the modules at this new orientation within/around the existing arrays. Strings with optimizers (2 x parallel) with an odd number of modules was also an issue, so I made a separate sub-array that with an optimizer (1 x series), and number of optimizers same as the number of modules. Hope this helps.
  5. Hello All, I am new to PVsyst and getting a little more familiarity with modeling and simulation. Having searched the forum and reading Application notes, I've not had much luck and wanted to reach out to gain clarity. The SolarEdge (SE100kUS) system has a string that is not homogenous. Where 11 mods/6 optimizers (P960) on a 190-degree azimuth are connected in the same string with 28 mods/14 optimizers that are on a 181-degree azimuth. From what I can tell, a heterogeneous string is not possible, but I was wondering if anyone has an approach/trick that one could get as close as possible to model this system? Thank you for the help in advance, much appreciated! Kind Regards, Mike
