  1. Hi PVsyst team,

I have 3 monitors and every time I open a new window on PVsyst (for example I click on 3D scene or run simulation)  that new window opens up on another screen and I have to drag it over. it seems so random.  why would it not all stay on the same screen?

    Thanks,

    -Rex

  2. I have an issue with MPPT power sharing.  each inverter has 3 MPPT inputs. there are 3 inverters total and the MPPT breakdown is this for all 3:

    CHINT CPS SCA60KTL-DO/US-480V

    MPPT #1 = 4 strings of 15 mods per string  (540W module)

    MPPT #2 = 4 strings of 15 mods per string (540W module)

    MPPT #3 = 2 strings of 14 modules per string (540W module)

Remember there are 3 total inverters so I have a total of:

24 strings of 15 mods per string

6 strings of 14 mods per string

PVsyst is not letting me power share correctly.  it is not giving me the option.  I have experience with power sharing in the past, but i cant get to the screen that lets you move around the strings on each inverter.

    Thanks for your help!

  3. Hello All,

For fixed tilt layout we must define a Collector band width. Lets use an example of 2 modules in portrait at 25 degree tilt (each module is 2m length with no space in between). My question is using the total module length vs. tilt adjusted total module length  as the input for Collector band width.

Using the total module length will give an input of 4m  and the tilt adjusted total module length will give an input of 3.63m (Cos25=Adjacent/4m).  The latter is correct from a top down view and i just want clarification on which input should be used for Collector band width.

When i mess with it,  i realize this calculation might be already considered but i want to be sure

  4. hey guys,

I need to know if a 120 degree tracking range correlates with the following pvsyst Orientation input --> Phi min -60deg , Phi max 60deg.   I feel like it this isnt correct. PVsyst seems to be measuring from the horizontal and looks to have a shallow tracking range when +- 60 deg is being used for Phi max and min.

For example,  a +- 52deg tracking range is actually steeper on pvsyst than +-60deg tracking range.

    Thank you!

  5. Is this possible to do within PVsyst? I get this error when i try to model several orientations of carports and activate the bifacial button.

The shading scene is complete and accurate.

    Thanks :!:

  6. I always have trouble getting the PAN and OND files from manufacturers. They never answer the phones or email. What is the best way to get a PAN file?

Do people use the module data sheets and make their own .PAN files within PVsyst?

    Thanks!
