Adriann Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Dear André,I would need to know if PVsyst calculates operating module cell temperature from the formula below. or a more sophisticated formula deriving from NREL, link as below.https://www.google.com.sg/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwiAovuWqPvKAhVTbY4KHQC3BXgQFggaMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nrel.gov%2Fdocs%2Ffy13osti%2F57991.pdf&usg=AFQjCNHJqw3KZuUMkYtCledxnkycmHFssQHope to hear from you soon. Thank you in advance !
André Mermoud Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 No. We consider that this NOCT approach is confusing, and not reliable in a system (doesn't take the installation mode into account, and concerns modules in open circuit). PVsyst uses an energy balance, which is fully explained in the help "Project design > Array and system losses > Array Thermal losses".
