alexander gaget Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Hello I have chosen East-West orientation for my project so I have created domes in my 3D shading model. One of my PV fields ends "going up" meaning my dome is cut into half. Its seems we can't creat half domes, so I have created a fixed tilt plane instead. My issue here is that PVsyst doesn't allow me to chose the orientation corresponding to the east orientation of my domes. I end up having to define 3 orientations even though I have only got 2. This will be an issue when defining my system since I can't define a string with my third orientation (not enough modules to make a string). What should I do ? Thank you for your help.
Jeremie Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Hello Alexander, Since version 8.05 of PVsyst, you can convert your domes and array of domes to fixed tables. As a result, you will end up with 2 orientations matching your previous dome orientation. You can achieve this by right-clicking on your dome and select 'Convert domes to fixed tables' After this you will be able to link your last 'half dome' to the relevant orientation, and have your 2 orientations mixed together on an inverter (or not) in the system.
alexander gaget Posted 9 hours ago Author Posted 9 hours ago Hello Jeremie Thank you for your answer. I have downloaded PVsyst 8.0.5 and I can indeed convert my domes to fixed tables. Nethertheless, I still can't affect the right orientation for these fixed tables as it automatically creates a third orientation. (see below) As you can see the domes that I have converted are not colorized (still blue) and turn orange when given orientation 3 When I enter the orientation management tool, I can't switch orientations from third orientation to orientation 1 unfortunately. Do you have any clues ? Thank you for your help.
Jeremie Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Hello Alexander. To better assist you, could you please send us (support@pvsyst.com) your project containing your intial dome configuration. Then we will try converting them to fixed tables and figure out what's the problem. Thanks
