Jig Posted October 4 Posted October 4 I would like to create the most accurate simulations possible while maintaining the worst case. However, some of the data that I'm inputting, I've had to give my best guess based on the site. Specifically, I'm concerned with site albedo and soiling. I'm doing my simulations well before the site is built. I'm working on ground mounted community solar projects in the range of 1.5MW to over 10MW using single axis trackers. Although, I would assume that this problem would apply to any type of solar installation. I'm interested to hear how some of the other PVSyst users in the community estimate these values. Are you using a special software package to make the estimations? Is there some other method? Or is it just simply your best guess?
Muhammed Sarikaya Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Dear Jig, I invite you to read about the topic of albedo at: https://www.pvsyst.com/help/albedo.htm And about the topic of soiling at: https://www.pvsyst.com/help/soiling_loss.htm Regards, Muhammed Sarikaya
Jig Posted October 8 Author Posted October 8 Thank you, Muhammed. I see that site specific albedo data can be extracted from NREL's website at this link: NSRDB (nrel.gov) Are you aware of any software solutions that help estimate a monthly, site specific soiling estimate? That seems to be much more difficult to estimate. Thank you!
