Asımcan ÇINAR Posted February 20 Posted February 20 When I transfer the measurement results made under standard test conditions to PVsyst, we encounter the following error. "The maxium series resistance (RSMax) = is very low, Consider increasşng the Voc (STC) value." We want to create PAN file using the eventual measurement result. For this reason, we urgently request help from people who have knowledge on the subject. While we don't experience this problem at low powers (550,555W etc.), we encounter the relevant error as the power values increase (just like 565-600W).
André Mermoud Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Yes, this is a limit of the one-diode model. The one-diode model (Shockley equation) cannot be applied when the Vmp/Voc ratio is too high (greater than about 84% or slightly more). This is a limitation due to the diode exponential shape. In PVsyst we consider that the Voc is not important (not significant during the simulation). Therefore we have sometimes to increase the Voc value at STC for applying the model. This is especially the case for the STC data of new technologies like HJT or TopCON (nothing to do with n-type or p-type). Modifying this Voc value doesn't have a significant impact on the simulation results, whch are always operating around the Vmpp value.
