Hila Posted February 6 Posted February 6 I am trying to simulate vertical bifacial systems on a different tilted grounds. I found here in the forum that I can manage bifacial simulations even if there is a tilted ground used in the 3D layout. I managed to do these simulation after I made sure that the pitch is regular and only one orientation is used. Is the 2D Bifacial calculations always on a horizontal terrain? is it somehow possible that the ground could be tilted for the 2D bifacial calculations? And is the horizon of my layout considered in the 2D calculations (e.g. when the sun is behind the tilted ground). I think that the tilted ground could have an impact on the bifacial yield calculation if one considers that the light is reflected different from this ground. Example of the System:
Michele Oliosi Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Indeed, in reality, there will be a small impact on the reflected irradiance if the ground is tilted. However, the bifacial 2D model in PVsyst does not include these effects yet.
