Shading scene creation

Hey PVSyst experts! I'm considering creating a 3D field for each module in the Shading scene. Is this a good idea? Are there any potential downsides?

Hi websolar,

Your scene is small and there aren't many modules so you can use a 3D field for each module. You will be able to use module layout and model electrical shadings without any issues.

The problem with this approach arises with bigger systems for two reasons:

• It is much slower and it can be difficult to manage many objects
• It doesn't allow to model electrical shadings using partitions

So for bigger systems it is recommended to use the zone tool to fill the area with large tables, or to manually define tables containing several modules.
