CleantechPro Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Hi, I ran a few simulations for a stand-alone ground-mount solar system with about 6 MW_dc solar/PV DC rating (without any energy storage) with success. Later on, I added a properly sized energy-storage unit (BESS) to capture the excess generation during peak generation instances, and discharge those excess generation (which would otherwise be lost w/o BESS) into the grid during off-peak hours. While the simulation ran with success, EBatDis in the PVsyst report has remained nearly 0 for all months (i.e. the BESS hasn't really been utilized at all). I understand that PVsyst's storage facilities/capabilities are rather limited that but this simple case should have worked with PVsyst. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
André Mermoud Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 I don't know. To our knowing, the "Peak shaving" feature works quite well. Please send your whole project to support@PVsyst.com, using "Files > Export projects" in the main menu, in order that we can analyse your problem.
