ivang Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 Hello everyone, I am new to PVsyst and I am looking for some help. Does the program automatically calculate how much space is enough between the rows, to not shade one another. And if not how to set them in the program. Thanks in advance!
Michele Oliosi Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 No it doesn't calculate this automatically. There are however some quantities and graphs that can give you some indications. For example, if you are not using a 3D scene, you can use the "unlimited sheds" orientation. In this case, you can, from the orientation window read the shading limit angle (above which there will be no shadows on your system), and display the shadings graph, which overlaps the shading angles with the sun path.To position the tables, either you can use the above unlimited sheds orientation, or you can do that "manually" in the 3D CAD editor in "Near shadings".
ivang Posted February 16, 2022 Author Posted February 16, 2022 You were very helpful, thank you! I have one more question about the N-S pitch in the near shadings option. What does it measure?
Michele Oliosi Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 The NS pitch is the separation between the bottom of a row to the next bottom of row. I.e. it is really equivalent to the row spacing.
