Import terrain data in CSV format?

Hi folks,

I've been asked by a colleague (remote working and very off-grid and therefore difficult to contact and clarify) to create a terrain grid that he can import into PVsyst.

He gave the impression that csv or xyz format was acceptable, but before I send anything through to him, I'd like to test for myself whether or not these formats can be read by PVsyst, however I can't seem to find any option that might allow me to upload terrain data (using PVsyst V6.86).

My question is, can PVsyst actually read terrain data (either in csv, xyz or other GIS type format) and if so, how do I import the data into PVsyst?

Yes you cam import CSV files of XYZ points.

Please see the help "Project design > Shadings > Near Shadings: Import > CSV Ground data"
