lleahy Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 Hello,First Solar recommends that back-tracking not be used when modeling with their modules. However, simulations run in PVsyst without backtracking have near shading losses that are about three times what they are with backtracking - which seems perfectly reasonable. However, am I missing a setting specific to FS modules that allows for modeing with no backtracking, that doesn't cause near-shading losses to triple? From reading the FS documention they recommend no backtracking to take advantage of the linear shading response of these modules.Thank you!
