Luciano Nadai Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 Hi everybody,I was working in a project with many objects(air conditioning, trees..) that can cause shadow/losses, so I did two differents simulations, first one using 72 cells modules and second one using 144 cells(for example Canadian solar CS3U-330P).And I have not seen any differences between these two scenarios. In shading animation tool, using 144 cells, even the shadow affect just a little piece of module, the whole module is affected and is shown as "yellow color". I was expected that just half module could be affected, once these modules are 72 cells in parallel ! I really I did not understand the results !!!!
carolinarfd Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Hello LucianoI have just the same problem tham you. Have you discover what is the proper method for simulaitng this kind of modules with PVsyst?Carolina
Luciano Nadai Posted February 28, 2018 Author Posted February 28, 2018 Hello Carolina,I have no idea of the method used by PVsyst to simulate these modules(144 cells). I hope PVsyst team can explain it because up to now I can not see the advantanges of using dual cells modules. Best regards,Luciano
André Mermoud Posted April 17, 2018 Posted April 17, 2018 This is not yet implemented. Please see the FAQ How are managed the new "twin-modules" with half cells.
