How to choose the correct weather station

Hello,

I'm wondering how to best choose the weather station that will be most accurate for running a generation report. It is my understanding that the weather patterns at different weather stations can vary greatly based on the microclimate. However, I have also noticed that class 1 weather stations systematically provide significantly higher production results. Do you know why this is, and whether there is an industry standard for choosing weather files?

There is no rule. We cannot give an advice about the better data source. And this is evolving along the time.

Now I don't see any reason why Meteo stations of higher class would give higher results.

Please have a look on the Help of PVsyst "Meteo Database > Import meteo data", which lists and analyzes all the sources available in PVsyst.
