alc Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 HiI'm trying to create a PV modul (the E20/435 from SunPower). I entered all the right informations, however I can't computer it as apparently the single cell mpp voltage is too high. I checked the mpp voltage module value (72.9Vmpp) and the number of cells in series (8). Those are the vlaues from the specification sheet of the module and it doesn't work as apparently I can't be over 3V, and those values lead to a mpp value of 9.11V.Am I wrong somewhere, or is it just their technology which is new and therefor unknown by the software? Thanks in advance for your help.
André Mermoud Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Yes of course. A single silicon cell has usually a Vmpp of about 0.5-0.51V at 25°C (up to 0.57V for the special Sunpower technology). The Sunpower modules of 435 Wp have 128 cells in series.
alc Posted November 27, 2012 Author Posted November 27, 2012 All right! That makes sens now... Haha :)Thanks for your help.
